Podcast Review: First Draft by Sarah Enni

If you love YA literature and going to author events, then you NEED to be listening to the FirstDraft podcast by Sarah Enni!
I recently discovered the podcast when I found out that Enni was going to be touring with Veronica Roth for her highly anticipated release of Carve the Mark. Enni will be moderating the conversation with Roth during her upcoming tour and judging by her podcast, she’s going to do a brilliant job. If you are able to make it to any of their tour stops, I HIGHLY recommend you do so. Here’s a list of their upcoming tour stops.

Enni interviews some of the biggest names in YA right now in her podcast, and their conversations are always fun, enlightening, and in many cases inspiring. Enni not only gets our favorite authors talking about where they came from and how they came to start writing, but we also learn A LOT about the work that goes into the books that we love and where their inspiration for their stories comes from.

I am lucky enough to live near The King’s English Bookshop, which is constantly bringing the biggest names in YA and all of Publishing to Utah. There is nothing I enjoy more than attending these events and hearing my favorite authors discuss their books, lives, and writing. Listening to this podcast is just like that, but you can take that experience with you everywhere you go!

In the podcast, Enni interviews such great authors as Veronica Roth, Victoria Aveyard, Nicola Yoon, Adam Silvera, Ransom Riggs, Jenny Han, Leigh Bardugo, Victoria Schwab, and SO MANY MORE.

Enni is also an author herself. She has a short story coming out in the highly anticipated anthology Because You Love to Hate Me, out on July 11, 2017.

I cannot recommend this podcast enough! Read, listen, and enjoy!
