My Recommendations for What I’ve Read so Far This Week:

Try pairing this Apothic Crush Red Wine with A.V. Geiger’s upcoming book, during which a harmless crush just might take a turn for the dark and dangerous.Check out my book feature here! Full review to be posted on 05/06!

Reign of Shadows by Sophie Jordan

Immerse yourself in this lovely Rapunzel retelling, set in a world ruled by shadows and perpetual darkness while sipping on a glass of this Acronym red blend, handily named Shadow. Check out my review here!

unknown

The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine

I recommend pairing this Queen Millionaire Waltz Malbec with this read, which is dark and royal and perfectly suits Irina’s character! Check out my review here!

Black Dawn by Mallory McCartney

This Dusk to Dawn Pinot Noir perfectly pairs with Mallory McCartney’s debut novel, in which Emory Fae and her friends from the academy have to battle the darkness in order to bring light back into their world. I will be participating in the blog tour for this book, so check out my book feature on 02/13!

King’s Cage by Victoria Aveyard

Sip on this Freedom Run Pinot Noir while watching Mare Barrow and the Scarlet Guard battle for their freedom in the latest installment in Victoria Aveyard’s Red Queen series. Review coming tonight!

My Recommendations for What I’m Reading Now:

Sad Perfect by Stephanie Elliott

I recommend pairing Sad Perfect with this Barefoot Sauvignon Blanc, not only because the bottle looks GORGEOUS with this cover, but also because this book focuses on a very unique eating disorder as well as mental health. This book is sweet, like this wine, but also deals with some very bare emotions. And it’s FANTASTIC.

Rise of Fire by Sophie Jordan

This GORGEOUS and romantic Dogajalo Rosato pairs perfectly with the romance and darkly, overgrown world in Sophie Jordan’s latest installment in the Reign of Shadows series.

My Recommendations for What I’m Reading Next:

The Wish Granter by C.J. Redwine

First of all, I just have to say how EXCITED I am to read this book, because Rumpelstiltskin is my favorite fairy tale of all time. I’ve been WISHING someone would do a retelling on this classic tale, and my wish certainly came true, so I’ll be pairing this Wish Wine Co. Cabernet Sauvignon with C.J. Redwine’s latest novel in the Ravenspire series!

Thief of Lies by Brenda Drake

Jump into the pages of this wonderfully bookish world while sipping on this Page’s Creek Chardonnay!

I’m having an AMAZING book week. Hope you all are too!

  1. I’ve been meaning to tell you Krysti, I don’t know how you came up with the idea of pairing wines with books, but I think it’s made your blog the most original one I’ve followed. I just wish I lived in Utah so I could join your book group.😕

So my friend and I wanted to start a book club and we wanted it to be a YA book club geared toward adults. We were then talking about how to get people to come and Wine was the obvious answer. 😉 I LOVE alliteration, so came up with the name YA and Wine, and the book club was so popular I decided to turn it into a blog! And thank you BTW! ❤️❤️❤️

I don’t know if I could. And I also don’t know if I could help but read them either. LOL. That would be tough to have your work examined so critically on such a large scale.

      5. That’s true. There’s so many people who might write bad things about it, I don’t know if I have tough enough skin to sift through those ones 😄

I don’t know if I do either. That would be so hard. Victoria Aveyard seems to have thick skin though.
