Interview with CRYSTAL BLADE Author Kathryn Purdie!

I am so thrilled to have Kathryn Purdie, author of Burning Glass and Crystal Blade here on the blog today. It’s no secret that I am a HUGE fan these books! There is just something about having an empath as the main character in a fantasy novel that I am absolutely enthralled by. I think it’s how deeply empaths feel not only their own emotions, but those of others around them. It really serves to heighten my own emotional connection to the story as a reader. I am in love with these characters and this story, and I already can’t wait for the third book!

The peace is unsustainable.

Sonya and Anton may have brought about a revolution, but can they protect their homeland—and their love—with so many forces threatening to tear them apart?

The empire has fallen, Valko faces trial, and Sonya is finally free from her fate as Sovereign Auraseer. But Sonya’s expanding abilities are just as unstable as the new government of Riaznin—and her relationship with Anton. Not only can she feel the emotions of others but, unlike other Auraseers, she’s learned to make others feel her emotions as well. And Sonya isn’t immune to dark temptations.

Now, as Sonya fights to contain her own darkness, she senses a new evil lurking in the shadows of the palace. Someone from Sonya’s past has returned. And that someone won’t be satisfied until Sonya pays for the mistakes she’s made.

Love the format of the interview, and I thought that first question was the best. XD The emojis she picked has me a bit worried and I haven’t even read the series so I can imagine your emotions throughout the book. Love this, Krysti! ❤

What a cool interview! I’m always curious about a writers writing process and how they deal with the pressure they are under to write an amazing book. I really wish I had read book 1 of this series because it sounds like such a cool one!
