In case you haven’t heard, there’s a new online book group in town, and it is AWESOME!
I’m a huge fan of @SwoonReads! Not only do they give authors the opportunity to get published, but they give readers the chance to be a part of the publishing process! And that, my friends, is just really cool! So we’ve started a group called the #SwoonReaders
The #SwoonReaders read/discuss/promote all the current Swoon Reads titles! We celebrate the release of new books! And we talk about the awesome manuscripts we’re reading/critiquing on the website!
We also do lots of giveaways and have lots of fun! Join us!
And speaking of giveaways…the lovely Katy Upperman has generously offered to give one Swoon Reader a signed hardcover copy of THE IMPOSSIBILITY OF US!
To enter all you have to do is join the Swoon Readers Facebook group and enter using the link below!
US only due to shipping costs. Giveaway ends 12/06!
About the Book
The last thing Elise wants is to start her senior year in a new town. But after her brother’s death in Afghanistan, she and her mother move from San Francisco to a sleepy coastal village.
When Elise meets Mati, they quickly discover how much they have in common. Mati is new to town too, visiting the U.S. with his family. Over the course of the summer, their relationship begins to blossom, and what starts out as a friendship becomes so much more.
But as Elise and Mati grow closer, her family becomes more and more uncomfortable with their relationship, and their concerns all center on one fact—Mati is Afghan.
Beautifully written, utterly compelling, and ultimately hopeful, THE IMPOSSIBILITY OF US asks—how brave can you be when your relationship is questioned by everyone you love?
