Kasie West is without doubt one of my very favorite authors! So I was thrilled to receive a copy of her new book FAME, FATE, AND THE FIRST KISS to review! Check out my review below to see why this is one book you simply HAVE to have on your winter TBR!
About the Book
Lacey Barnes has dreamt of being in a movie for as long as she can remember. However, while her dream did include working alongside the hottest actor in Hollywood, it didn’t involve having to finish up her senior year of high school at the same time she was getting her big break. Although that is nothing compared to Donavan, the straight-laced student her father hires to tutor her, who is a full-on nightmare.
As Lacey struggles to juggle her burgeoning career, some on-set sabotage, and an off-screen romance with the unlikeliest of leading men, she quickly learns that sometimes the best stories happen when you go off script.
My Review
FAME, FATE, AND THE FIRST KISS is yet another delightful light and fluffy read from Kasie West! I was utterly charmed by the story and wooed by the romance.
I fell head-over-heels for this wonderful cast of characters. Main character Lacey is wonderfully relatable in spite of the fact that she’s well on her way to becoming Hollywood’s new it girl.
West’s writing style flows so well in all of her novels, and she keeps her readers really turning those pages. There isn’t a single novel of hers that I haven’t wanted to finish in a single sitting, and this is no exception.
This is the perfect escapist read. It’s got enough suspense and intrigue to keep you hooked, but it’s delivered with in such an airy tone that it’s just a pleasure to read.
Kasie West has proven again why she’s a top auto-buy author for me, and I can’t wait for my physical Copy to arrive when it releases in February!
About the Author
I write YA. I eat Junior Mints. Sometimes I go crazy and do both at the same time. My novels are: PIVOT POINT and its sequel SPLIT SECOND. And my contemporary novels: THE DISTANCE BETWEEN US, ON THE FENCE, THE FILL-IN BOYFRIEND, PS I LIKE YOU, and BY YOUR SIDE. My agent is the talented and funny Michelle Wolfson
I’ve never read anything by Kasie West, but I’ve been in the mood for more escapist reads lately. This sounds adorable! Does it matter which of West’s books I read first?
